The New Testament has some scriptures which say the cross of Christ is sacred. Now if you interpret this to mean that Christ's sacrifice on the cross is sacred, then you still have to determine what the material cross symbolizes. The Nazis perpetrated evil for a few years and as a result we say the Nazi swastika reflects that evil. People under the sign of the cross perpetrated evil for century after century. So, we have 2 particulary interesting Cases. Case 1 says the material cross reflects no evil, because God says it is sacred. Case 2 says that God says the material cross reflects some evil. In Case 1, where the cross is sacred to God, it is sacrilege to say the cross reflects evil. In Case 2, it is sacrilege to say the cross is holy and sacred, that is, if God says the cross is evil then it is sacrilege to say the cross is sacred.
If the cross is sacred to God then perhaps it is the seal of God which says one from months of torment if it is on your forehead, see Revelation 9. But if the cross is evil in God's eyes perhaps it is the mark of the beast. Revelation 14. 11 says you burn in hell forever if the mark of the beast is on your forehead.
This book pushes the theory that Christianity is true yet every church under the cross is a false church. Not one of them is God's True Church, the Church which Christ founded on a rock, Matthew 16. 13-19. They all lead people to perdition, because leading people to eternal perdition is exactly what false churches do, whereas God's True Church leads people to heaven.
To say there is no True Church is to reject Matthew 16. 13-19, John 14. 23-26, Ephesians 4. 4 and Galatians 1. 8-12. If you reject these scriptures you reject Christianity.
So, suppose I'm wrong. Suppose one or perhaps more than one Church under the cross leads people to heaven, and therefore you can trust this True Church when it insists the cross is sacred to God.
Even if one is correct when he insists some Church under the cross leads people to heaven, because it is not a false church, because it is indeed God's True Church, well, you still have to find it, and you still have to escape from every false church.
Suppose the Roman Catholic Church is God's True Church. Suppose Rome leads people to heaven. If so then it is stupid for us to be governed by these anti-Catholic governments which predominate over the whole World. These evil things are dragging billions of people down to eternal perdition! Rome is the only government we need if Rome leads people to heaven, if Rome is God's True Church.
On the other hand if Rome is a false church, if Rome drags souls down to eternal perdition, then let's not be governed by the Roman Catholic Church.
